A Tokachi Beach in Winter.

Back in December of 2011, near where the Tokachi River flows into the Pacific Ocean, I was able to snap some photos of ice chunks on the Otsu beach by Toyokoro town.
Where did this block come from? I was told by local fisherman that this piece likely broke off of the frozen mouth of the river and was pushed up onto the beach by waves.
In this freezing cold weather, beneath the bright sun, this block sure does look beautiful.
