"Let's go pick some fruit in Hokkaido!"

Time before Hokkaido's first snow is running out! We usually get our first dusting around October 28th. So wouldn't you like to take advantage of the remaining snow-less days by picking some grapes, pears, apples, or prunes?

The other day I drove about 30 minutes South of central Sapporo to an orchard located in Minami-ku to pick some grapes. There are many different places in the outskirts of Sapporo where you can enjoy picking fruit, although most of these places only operate until October 20th.

Many say that fruit picked near the end of the season tastes the best, so be sure to give it a try before it snows! If you miss out this year, there's always next year, so mark your calendars!

Nothing beats a drive through Hokkaido's beautiful autumn foliage while following the "Hokkaido Fruit Map."
