Locals can visit Furano for weekend trips to see lavenders but Sapporo to Furano area is quite far.

For example:
“High Land Furano” is located in Furano-City.
Sapporo City to Furano City is 116 km and approximately 2 hours 2 mins drive via expressway.

“Flower Land Kami-Furano” is in Kami-Furano Cho.
Sapporo City to Kami-Furano Cho is 130 km and approximately 2 hours 21 mins via expressway.

“Farm Tomita” is in Naka-Furano Cho.
Sapporo City to Naka-Furano Cho is 123 km and approximately 2 hours 13 mins via expressway.

“Lake Kanayama Shikagoe Garden (Lavender Far)” is in Minami-Furano Cho.
Sapporo City to Minami-Furano Cho is 154 km and approximately 2 hours 25 mins via expressway.

All of above are distances for one-way, so you should estimate four to five hours round trip from Sapporo.
* We calculated distance and time using “Northern Road Navi” which we introduced before in Hokkaido Likers.

Those of you who come to Hokkaido for sightseeing must want to see more places around Furano such as Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa and Biei-Cho, etc.

Furthermore, you would have many places and sights you want to see in a limited time like one night or two nights.
