"Toka Toka" - Kamishihoro Town The delicious tastes of Tokachi all in one store!
Kamishihoro Town, located in the northern part of the Tokachi Plain, is a thriving diary and field farming community. Helping spread the word about the delicious ingredient available in the area, a delicious new bread shop opened in the spring of 2013 named "Toka Toka."
All the bread here is made using Hokkaido wheat and Tokachi butter and milk. There are over 60 kinds of bread available at the store, and they are all made with vegetables and beans from the Kamishihoro area.
Mr. Noriaki Ono, the manager of Toka Toka, explains, "We have customers of every age here, and we want to make bread that suits each of their tastes. We bake several times during the day, so customers also get a chance to eat freshly baked bread throughout the day." Toka Toka is popular with both locals and tourists, making it a strong representative of Kamishihoro food.
These affordable breads are packed with the great Kamishihoro taste, and Tokachi Naitai Wagyu beef is also on the menu! Tokachi Naitai Wagyu Beef is a special Kamishihoro brand cattle rated consistently higher than grade 4. You can choose your favorite beef cut and size from the display window and watch them cook up your hamburger or steak on the spot. The perfect thing for an empty stomach, so come hungry!
Whether you want to try the bread, the soup, the beef, or all three, there's no better place to get that great Tokachi taste than "Toka Toka!" So be sure to stop by the next time you're in town.
